Which Generate This Code:This fault is indicated when the control detects an incomplete electrical path. The path is incomplete from the control to the relay coil. If this fault exists, the load check system is disabled.Note: The following steps may create other detected faults. Clear those faults when the current fault is corrected.Test Step 1. CHECK THE RELAY
Turn the key switch to the OFF position.
Remove the load check relay from the socket.
Measure the resistance from terminal 85 to terminal 86.
The resistance should be approximately 480 ohms.Expected Result:The resistance is approximately 480 ohms.Results:
YES - The problem is not the relay. Proceed to test step2.
NO - The problem is the relay.Repair: Replace the relay. Stop.Test Step 2. CHECK THE HARNESS CIRCUIT
Clean the relay terminals and clean the socket.
Install the relay.
Disconnect the harness connector from the control.
Check resistance from contact 37 to contact 39 on the harness connector.Expected Result:The resistance should be approximately 480 ohms. Results:
NO - The resistance is greater than 5000 ohms. The machine harness has an open circuit in the signal wire.Repair: Repair the harness or replace the harness. Stop.
YES - Resistance is approximately 480 ohms. Proceed to test step 3.Test Step 3. CHECK IF THE FAULT REMAINS
Inspect the connectors and reconnect the connectors.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
Enter the service mode.
Operate the machine.
Check if the fault is still active.Results:
YES - The fault is still active. The fault has not been corrected.Repair: Perform the previous steps again. If the cause of the fault is not found, replace the control. Stop.
NO - The fault is not active.Repair: The fault was probably caused by a poor electrical connection. Resume normal machine operation. Stop.
