Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
At operating temperature the implement hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.To prevent possible injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic system before hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.

Attach Tooling (A) to bolt hole (1) .
Attach a suitable hoist and a suitable lifting sling to Tooling (A) .
Use the hoist in order to install fan shroud section (3). The weight of fan shroud section (3) is 20 kg (45 lb).
Install nine bolts (2) .
Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the remaining three fan shroud sections.
Do not damage the radiator core during removal or installation of the fan group.
End By: Install the hydraulic fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan and Piston Motor (Hydraulic Fan) - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
