187-3307 Cylinder Head Gasket
(1) Straight EdgeThe new 187-3307 Cylinder Head Gasket Assembly is used for current production and parts service. This part number replaces part numbers in Table 1. This gasket must be used on C-10 engines with serial numbers: 3CS719 - Up and 8YS5389 - Up. On C-12 engines, this gasket must be used with serial numbers: 9NS16228 - UP and 2KS389 - Up. See Illustration 1.

(1) Scalloped EdgeThe 187-3306 Cylinder Head Gasket Assembly is used for service parts only. This part number replaces part numbers in Table 1. This gasket must be used on C-10 engines with serial number ranges: 2PN1 - Up, 8YS1-5388 and 3CS1 - 718. On C-12 engines, this gasket must be used with serial numbers:1YN1 - Up, 9NS1 - 16227 and 2KS1 - 388. See Illustration 2.See Table 1 for usage of gasket.

The new design has 162-0683 on the casting. This design has a straight edge along the camshaft side of the cylinder head. See Table 2 for interchangeability.Cylinder BlockThere are two cylinder blocks. The old design has 128-0406 on the casting. This design has a scalloped edge along the camshaft side of the cylinder block. The new design has 162-0683 on the casting. This design has a straight edge along the camshaft side of the cylinder block. See Table 2 for interchangeability.Lifter Bracket AssemblyThere are two new bracket assemblies. The new 148-2064 Bracket As for the camshaft followers will replace the former 129-2884 Bracket As. The new 148-2065 Bracket As will replace the former 129-2882 Bracket As.Use the 148-2063 Valve Lifter Group with the new brackets for the camshaft follower.Note: The old 129-2884 Bracket As for the camshaft follower can not be used with the 162-0681 Cylinder Block. The new 148-2064 Bracket As for the camshaft follower can not be used with the old 128-0406 Cylinder Block.
