Release the hydraulic system pressure.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

Remove the cap from the hydraulic tank. Install Tooling (A) onto the hydraulic tank. Attach an air supply hose to Tooling (A). Apply 276 to 414 kPa (40 to 60 psi) of air. This procedure will pull vacuum on the hydraulic system.

Remove plug (6) from housing (4) and drain oil into a suitable container .Disconnect harness assembly (1). Use Tooling (B) to disconnect hose assemblies (3) . Remove housing (4). Remove bolts (2) and the washers and filter base (5).
Repeat Step 2 for the other hydraulic oil filter base.Disassembly Procedure

Position hydraulic oil filter base (1) and remove plugs (4) , (6) and switch assembly (5) .Remove plug (2) and bypass valve (3).Assembly Procedure

Install plug (6) and tighten plug (6) to a torque of 18 2 N m (13 2 lb ft).
Install switch assembly (5) and tighten switch assembly (5) to a torque of 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft) .
Install plug (4) and tighten plug (4) to a torque of 12 1 N m (9 1 lb ft).
Install bypass valve (3) and plug (2) .Installation Procedure

Install hydraulic oil filter base (5) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).Note: Use a socket or box end wrench when tightening housing (4) . Do not use air wrench, open end, or adjustable wrench.
Tighten housing (4) to a torque of 40 5 N m (26 4 lb ft) .
Tighten drain plug (6) to a torque of 10 2 N m (7 1 lb ft).
