H     9S-3263     Thread Lock Compound     1-    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install coupling (11). Use Tooling (G) in order to install retaining ring (10). Apply Tooling (H) to the threads of bolt (9). Tighten bolt (9) to a torque of 102 5 N m (75 4 lb ft).

Install trolley (C) onto tube assembly (B). Attach tube assembly (B) to the machine and position tube assembly (B) and base assembly (D) onto Tooling (E) .
Attach Tooling (A) to trolley (C) and to piston pump (7). The weight of piston pump (7) is approximately 73 kg (160 lb).

Note: Ensure that the splines are properly aligned with the engine.
Position piston pump (7) and install bolts (8). Use Tooling (F) in order to tighten bolts (8) .
Remove all of the Tooling that was used to lift piston pump (7) .

Connect hose assemblies (2) and (3). Connect hose (4). Connect harness assemblies (1) .

Install bracket (6) .

If equipped, install the piston pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (High Flow) - Install".
Install the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Charge) - Install".
Install the hydraulic tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Tank - Install".
