Information:


Remove all the bolts (7) except one which holds clutch hub (3) to inner drum (4) on the steering clutch. Remove all the bolts (8) except one which holds outer drum (5) to final drive flange (6). Position inner drum (4) so that the last bolt (7) to be removed is on top and the last bolt (8) can be seen through the hole that plug (2) was removed from.
7. Remove eleven bolts (7) and eleven bolts (8). Bolts (8) must be removed through the hole that plug (2) was removed from. 8. Make sure the transmission is in neutral. Use jack (9) to move the track so that bolts (7) and (8) can be removed. 9. Remove clip (11) and nut (10). Remove pin (15) and fork (12). Remove pin (14), two spacers (16) and lever (13). 10. Slide brake band (17) around outer drum (5) until the two ends are on top of the steering clutch. Put pin (14) back into position in the brake band as shown.11. Fasten tool (D) and straps to the steering clutch as shown.
Steering clutch (18) can slide out of outer drum (5). To prevent personal injury, keep the steering clutch level at all times.
12. Remove the last two bolts that hold steering clutch (18) in place. Remove the steering clutch from the machine. The weight of the steering clutch is approximately 290 lb. (131 kg).Install Steering Clutches
Steering clutch (2) can slide out of outer drum (3). To prevent personal injury, keep the steering clutch level at all times.
1. Put pin (1) in position in the brake band as shown. Install tool (A) and a strap to the steering clutch.2. Put the steering clutch in position in the machine. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 200 18 lb.ft. (270 25 N m). Install several bolts that hold the steering clutch (2) to the clutch hub. Install one bolt that holds outer drum (3) to the final drive flange. The weight of the steering clutch is approximately 290 lb. (131 kg).3. Remove pin (1) and tool (D) from the brake band. 4. Install pin (1), spacers (9) and lever (7) as shown. Install pin (8) through fork (6) and the other end of lever (7).5. Install the end of the brake band over the end of fork (6). Install nut (5) and clip (4). 6. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of bolts (10) and (11). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 200 18 lb.ft. (270 25 N m). 7. Make sure the transmission is in neutral. Use jack (12) as shown to move the track enough to install the remainder of the bolts. 8. Install plug (3) in the side of the steering clutch and bevel gear case. 9. Remove bolt (14) from the front of the brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanism on the other side of the machine.10. Install the O-ring seal
