summing pointThe Power Supply CircuitThe power supply circuit in the AC powered version is connected internally to the potential transformer voltage terminals. Refer to Illustration 1. The power supply circuit in the AC powered version does not require any additional, external power supply. Installation of jumpers provides for either 95 to 130 or 190 to 260 (50 to 400 Hz) potential transformer voltage at the internal power supply. The power supply regulates a DC voltage for all load sensor circuits.The DC powered load sharing module provides a continuous pulse width modulated (PWM) speed signal for electronic engine controls. There are no voltage supply jumpers to install for different sensing voltage ranges because this unit is powered directly from the 24 DCV battery. Refer to Illustration 2. The load sharing functions of the DC unit remain the same as the AC powered unit.Note: Since the AC powered load sharing module is not powered when the engine and the generator are not running, the module may not be able to provide a desired speed signal to the engine ECM. The DC powered load sharing module is always powered on. Power consumption for DC powered load sharing module is typically 10 watts. Refer to the Special Instruction, REHS0532, "Installation of the 161-0797 Governor Control (Load Share Module) as Service Replacement for the 131-5459 Governor Control (Load Share Module)" when using the new DC powered load sharing module as a service replacement for the AC powered load sharing module.The Power Sensor CircuitGenerator kilowatt load is measured by the power sensor circuit which has connections to the current transformers and potential transformers. The power sensor provides the controller circuit with a filtered load signal. At the controller, the load signal is adjusted with the load gain potentiometer to a specific voltage for full load. This specific voltage is called the load gain voltage. All other controls in the system are similarly adjusted. This load gain voltage is always proportional to the generator load. The load gain voltage decreases proportionally from full load to no load.In
