RECTIFIER AS 3N5313 - Caterpillar

The following procedure describes the adjustments that are required if an "Engine Speed Timing Calibration" is performed. After the procedure has been completed, the engine can be started and ran at rated speed.Note: The procedure does not include the instructions for performing the actual calibration.Note: Before changing any value per this procedure, record the original value.
Stop the engine.
If a load share module is supplying the pulse width modulation (PWM) signal in order to bias the engine speed, do the following.
Disconnect the wires from the module.
Go to Step 4.If no module is supplying the PWM signal and the engine speed bias is controlled from the EMCP 3, then go to Step 3.
Use the EMCP 3 control screen in order to go to idle. Refer to the "Idle Speed and Rated Speed" information that is in the "Voltage and Frequency Adjustment" section of this publication. Go to Step 5.
Set the "Engine Start Fault Protection Activation Delay Time" set point in the EMCP 3 to 90 seconds. Use the Cat ET in order to set the "Secondary Desired Speed Input Configuration" set point in the engine ECM to "DISABLED".
Start the engine and run the engine at idle speed.
Perform the "Engine Speed Timing Calibration" .
Stop the engine.
Use Cat ET in order to return the set points that were modified in Step 2 through Step 4 to the original values. Navigate to the "Control" screen, then go to the "Rated" screen.
Reconnect any wires that were disconnected in Step 2.
