Location of the Transmission Neutralizer SwitchA normally closed limit switch is used in the left brake pedal assembly to activate the transmission neutralizer.The transmission neutralizer switch that is located in the left brake pedal assembly connects to a two-position rocker switch.

Overhead Switch Panel (1) Transmission neutralizer lockout switch. The switch is shown in the unlocked position.The transmission neutralizer only operates when transmission neutralizer lockout switch (1) is in the UNLOCKED position. When the transmission neutralizer lockout switch (1) is in the UNLOCKED position, the transmission may be neutralized with the left brake pedal. The operator can also apply the service brakes when either brake pedal is depressed.Also at this time, the engine rpm will increase due to a no-load condition from the transmission. This allows full hydraulic power for bucket operation.The transmission neutralizes by de-energizing the direction clutch solenoid. At the same time, the speed clutch solenoid is still energized. This allows full engine power to be used in the hydraulic system.When the transmission neutralizer lockout switch (1) is in the LOCKED position, the service brakes will be applied when either brake pedal is depressed.
