Installation Procedure
Start By:
Ensure that the machine and the work tool is parked on a level surface prior to starting the following procedure. Ensure that the hydraulic lockout that is on the machine is in the LOCKED position.
Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine.To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. If the machine is not equipped with a battery disconnect switch, disconnect the battery cables from the battery and tape the battery clamps.Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on.
Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting device to grapple arm (4) in order to lift grapple arm (4) onto the felling head.
Install the grapple arm onto the felling head by using the hoist and a suitable lifting device. The grapple arm assembly weighs approximately 220 kg (485 lb).

Install pivot pin (12) into grapple arm (4) .

Install bolt (9) from grapple arm (4) .
Install nut (10) and washer (11) onto bolt (9) .

Install nut (6) and washer (7) into pivot pin (8). Torque nut (6) until there is a clearance of 1 .5 mm (.04 .02 inch) between the felling head frame and grapple arm (4) .

Install cylinder pin (5) into grapple arm (4) .

Install bolt (3) into grapple arm (4) .
Install nut (1) and washer (2) onto bolt (3) .
