Attach the gauge to pressure tap (N) .
Warm the transmission oil to operating temperature.
Run the engine at HIGH IDLE. Fully depress the brake pedal. Disengage the parking brake. Put the torque converter in a stalled condition with the transmission in third speed forward. Note the pressure on the gauge. The pressure should be 410 50 kPa (60 7.5 psi).Note: This pressure pertains to a test that is done on the machine. The 410 50 kPa (60 7.5 psi) is not a bench test specification.
If the pressure that is observed is not 410 50 kPa (60 7.5 psi), perform the following steps:
Shut off the engine.
Remove the torque converter outlet relief valve. The torque converter outlet relief valve is located at the back of the torque converter housing. Refer to Power Train Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve - Remove" for your machine.

Torque converter outlet relief valve
Add spacers (1) or remove spacers (1) , as needed. Refer to Power Train Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve - Disassemble" for your machine. Refer to Table 2 for the specifications for the spacers.
Assemble the torque converter relief valve. Refer to Power Train Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve - Assemble" for your machine.
Install the torque converter relief valve. Refer to Power Train Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve - Install" for your machine.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4.
