Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Shut off the air supply at the air reservoir. Drain the pressurized air from the air starting system. The sudden release of pressurized air can cause personal injury.

Turn OFF the air supply at the air reservoir. Ensure that the air pressure is drained from the starting air system.
Remove clamp (5).
Disconnect harness assembly (2).
Disconnect hose (3).
Remove bolts (1) that hold the air tube assemblies and the gaskets to the air starting motors. Check the gaskets for damage. If necessary, replace the gaskets.
Remove air system lubricator (4). Place the air system lubricator on a suitable work bench.
Remove the fittings as a unit from both sides of the air system lubricator. Installation Procedure

Illustration 2 g00589842Note: Fill air system lubricator (4) with diesel fuel before installation.Note: Apply Tooling (A) to the fittings before installation.
Install the fittings as a unit to both sides of air system lubricator (4).
Install air system lubricator (4).
Check the gaskets for damage. If necessary, replace the gaskets. Install bolts (1) that hold the air tube assemblies and the gaskets to the air starting motors.
Connect hose (3).
Connect harness assembly (2).
Install clamp (5).
Turn ON the air supply at the air reservoir.
