Removal Procedure
Start by:a. Release the hydraulic system pressure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove knobs (2) and screws (1).

Remove cover (4) and arm rest assembly (3).

Remove screw (6), rod (5), and knob (7).

Remove screws (9) and (10). Remove cover (8).

Remove screws (11) and lever (12).

Disconnect cable assembly (13). Remove screws (14) and cover (15).

Remove straps (16) and disconnect harness assemblies (17).

Disconnect hose assemblies (18).

Remove screws (19) and cover (20).

Remove bolts (24) and control lever assembly (23).

Remove locknut 25 and base plate (26).

Remove nut (28), bolt (29), and (30). Remove STIC control lever assembly (31) and STIC control valve assembly (27).Installation Procedure
Install STIC control valve assembly (27) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten screws (24), (21), (19), (9), and (1) to a torque of 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).
Install knob (6) and tighten the locknut to torque of 8.5 1.3 N m (75.23138 11.50598 lb in)
Tighten locknut (25) to a torque of 25 5 N m (221 44 lb in).
