ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to the Safety Section in the Coupler's and Excavator's Operation and Maintenance Manual prior to doing any work.
Remove the Center-Lock Coupler from the excavator. Refer the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8471, "Center-Lock Pin Grabber Coupler" for instructions on how to remove and install the coupler on the excavator.
Replace the existing 300-1884 Center-Lock Coupler links and associated hardware with the 550-2620 Link Assembly Kit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6595, "Coupler Cylinder ? Remove and Install" for the proper procedure to remove and install the coupler links and add the additional washers.
Install the coupler on the excavator.
Update the machine software to the latest available in SIS Web.

Dear Cat Product Owner:
The links need to be replaced on the products listed below. Failures of components and/or systems in the coupler can affect coupler operation and depending on the position of the coupler and geometry of the worktool attached could possibly lead to the worktool being retained by the secondary lock only. This could result in worktool contact with the stick of the machine in a manner that causes damage to the linkage of the coupler and/or goes overcenter which, in conjunction with other factors, could result in a risk of personal injury or death. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated.
