Position the machine on level ground.
Stop the engine.
Connect the laptop computer to the service tool connector. Refer to Special Publication, NEHS0758, "Communications Adapter II Hardware and Software" for additional information. Note: The service tool connector is located in the battery compartment.
Start the engine.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).
Use the electronic technician in order to read the engine speed (rpm). Refer to Table 2 for the specifications for engine speed at the desired engine operation.
