Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the interim corrective action that is identified below.Problem
The MH3049 Material Handlers booms may experience cracking between the boom foot pinning point and the boom cylinder pinning point near the end of the doubler plate.Solution
The indicated area of the boom needs to be visually inspected for signs of cracks. Visually inspect both side plates and the bottom plate for cracks. If any cracks are found, submit a DSN service request so that a repair procedure can be put together to address the area of the failure.
