Schematic for the Lift Lever Position SensorThis diagnostic code is recorded when the ECM determines that the signal from the lift lever position sensor is too high. The lift lever position sensor is a PWM sensor. The possible causes for this diagnostic code are listed:
The lift lever position sensor has been rotated above the calibrated operating range.System Response:The machine response is listed:
If the diagnostic code is active for at least three seconds, the 352-13 diagnostic code will be active. The 352-00 diagnostic code will become inactive.Note: The following test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore these created diagnostic codes and clear the diagnostic codes when the original diagnostic code is corrected. Note: Ensure that the diagnostic code is active.Test Step 1. CHECK THE HARNESS.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the harness from the sensor.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
At the harness connector for the sensor, measure the voltage from the ECM between contact B (wire 953-GY) and contact C (wire H710-PK).Expected Result:The voltage should be 5 0.5 DCV.Results:
YES - The voltage measures 5 0.5 DCV.Repair: The harness is correct. The sensor or the sensor harness has failed. Check the sensor harness. If no defect is found, replace the sensor. Stop.
NO - The voltage does not measure 5 0.5 DCV. The ECM or the harness has failed. Proceed to test step 2.Test Step 2. CHECK THE ALIGNMENT OF THE LEVER POSITION SENSOR
Check the mounting hardware for the lever position sensor. The fasteners should be tight. If the sensor shows any signs of damage the hardware should be replaced.
Check the duty cycle of the lever position sensor. In order to measure the duty cycle of the sensor, use a 9U-7330 Digital Multimeter with a 7X-1710 Probe Group. At the implement ECM, use contact J2-4 and contact J1-15. Move the control lever to the full travel in both directions.Expected Result:The duty cycle should be between 10% and 90%.Results:
YES - The duty cycle is correct.Repair: Calibrate the lever position sensor. Stop.
NO - The duty cycle is not correct.Repair: Replace the lever position sensor. Calibrate the new sensor. Check for an active code. Stop.
