The following events happen when you move the work tool and the hydraulic connections are not capped:
When you lift the work tool from the ground, the shells will close.
When you place the work tool on the ground, the shells will open.

In order to ship the work tool, place the work tool on a suitable pallet or place the work tool on the bed of a truck. Use suitable devices in order to secure the work tool for shipment. Before you ship the work tool, refer to Illustration 2 for the correct position of the work tool.The following work tools are equipped with a transport locking device. The transport locking device prevents the upper housing from moving when the work tool is transported.

Before you transport the work tools, install the transport locking device (1) .Note: The transport locking device must be removed before you swivel the work tool or before you put the work tool into operation.
