18. Connect four hose assemblies (4), (5), (6), and (7) to travel & bottom dump control valve (3). 19. Position a suitable lifting device, (not shown), to grate (1). Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Put grate (1) in position to the swing frame. Install six bolts (2) and the washers that hold grate (1) to the swing frame. The weight of grate (1) is 60 Kg (132 lb).20. Refill the hydraulic system with hydraulic fluid. The capacity of the hydraulic system is 1600 L (423 U.S. gal). For correct filling procedures, refer to topic "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" in the 5130B Excavator, Operation & Maintenance Manual.Disassemble Control Valve (Travel & Bottom Dump)
Start By:a. remove control valve (travel & bottom dump)
Put identification marks on all components of the control valve (travel & bottom dump) as they are being removed. All parts must be installed in their original locations. Do not damage any of the internal parts during removal. A damaged valve component will result in oil leakage and affect valve performance. Keep all internal parts of the valve clean and lubricated.
1. Remove five socket head bolts (1), the washers and manifold (2) from the travel and bottom dump control valve. The weight of the manifold is 75 Kg (165 lb). 2. Remove integral seal (3) from manifold (2). 3. Remove eight bolts (4) and cover (5). 4. Remove integral seal (6) from cover (5). 5. Remove spring (8) and spring (9) from body (7). Remove spring (10) and spring (11) from body (7). 6. Remove two relief valves (12).7. Disassemble relief valve (12) as follows: Only the O-ring seals and back-up rings in relief valve (12) are serviceable. However, the valve can be disassembled for cleaning.a. Disassemble the relief valve. Remove back-up rings (13) and (17). Remove O-ring seals (14), (15), (16) and (18). 8. Remove the locknut, washer and coil assembly (19) from the solenoid valve. 9. Remove cartridge assembly (20).10. Remove the O-ring seals and back-up rings from cartridge assembly (20). 11. Remove eight bolts (21) and manifold (22).12. Disassemble manifold (22) as follows: a. Remove integral seal (23) from the manifold.b. Remove three spring retainers (24), three springs (25) and retainers (26) from the manifold.c. Remove spacer (27) if present. 13. Remove spacer (28).14. Disassemble spacer (28) as follows: a. Remove integral seal (29) from the spacer.b. Remove three O-ring plugs (30). Remove the O-ring seals from each O-ring plug (30). 15. Remove eight bolts (31) and manifold (32).16. Disassemble manifold (32) as follows: a. Remove integral seal (33) from the manifold.b. Remove three spring retainers (34), three springs (35) and retainers (36) from the manifold.c. Remove spacer (37) if present. 17. Remove three stems (38) from the body.Assemble Control Valve (Travel & Bottom Dump)
Check all components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Apply 1U-6396 O-ring Compound to all O-ring seals prior to installation, if applicable.
Be sure all parts of the control valve (travel & bottom dump) are thoroughly clean and
