REPAIR KIT 5P7449 - Caterpillar

1. Remove bolts (3) and cap (2) from the blade lift cylinders or the blade centershift cylinder.2. Remove the insert from the cap.3. Start the engine.4. Move cylinder rod (1) off of the ballstud.5. Remove the inserts and the shims from the ballstud.6. Shut off the engine. The following steps are for the installation of the ball & socket joint inserts. 7. Put 5P-0960 Grease on the inside surfaces of the inserts.8. Install new insert (6) and shim (5) on ballstud (4).9. Start the engine.10. Move the cylinder rod in position on the ballstud.11. Install new insert (8) and shim (9) in cap (2).12. Put cap (2) and shim (7) in position on ballstud (4).13. Install bolts (3).
