The new implement pumps are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.Replace the 398-8229 Piston Pump Gp on 990k Wheel loaders with, new 513-8088 Piston Pump Gp. Replace the 420-6227 Piston Pump Gp on 994k Wheel loaders with, new 512-0769 Piston Pump Gp.Refer to the following part replacements for repair of 398-8229 and 420-6227 Piston Pump Groups.
Replace former 247-0667 Coupling with new 512-0761 Coupling (1).
Replace former 250-9324 Spacer with new 513-1366 Spacer (3).
Replace former 5L-2931 Retaining Ring with new 309-3593 Retaining Ring (4).Note: Two 309-3593 Retaining Ring are required on 513-8088 Piston Pump Gp and 512-0769 Piston Pump Gp.
Replace former 368-4485 Shaft with new 512-0762 Shaft (5).
Replace 398-2904 Shaft on 990k Wheel loaders with new 513-8141 Shaft (6).
Replace 367-7751 Shaft on 994k Wheel loaders with new 512-0763 Shaft (7).
Stamp the pump group ID tag with "XX" to indicate updated parts.
