1. The timing speed sensor is located behind right hand door assemblies (1) and (2). 2. Disconnect wire harness (3) at the electrical connection.3. Remove timing speed sensor (4) and the O-ring seal from timing gear housing (5). The following steps are for the installation of the sensor (backup timing speed).4. Make sure all components of the timing speed sensor are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation.5. Check the O-ring seal and components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Prior to installation coat threads with 4C-5599 Anti-seize Compound.6. Install the O-ring seal and timing speed sensor (4) in timing gear housing (5). Tighten timing speed sensor (4) to a torque of 40 5 N m (29 4 lb ft).7. Connect wire harness (3) at the electrical connection.
