Fuses
Fuses protect the individual circuits from damage caused by overloads.Change a fuse if the element separates. If the element of a new fuse separates, have the circuit checked.
Replace fuses with the same type and size.
Open the door, to the right of the operator, inside the operator's compartment for access to the fuse block. The circuit for each fuse is identified on the diagram on the fuse block.Heating and Air Conditioning Operation
In dusty conditions, keep the windows closed and use the air conditioner (if equipped). Air Conditioning Control-OFF (1.) - Turn the knob all the way to the left (counterclockwise). Cool - Turn the knob to the RIGHT (clockwise), with the fan switch in the LOW or HIGH cool position, until the desired amount of cooling is achieved.The knob can be set at any position to obtain the desired amount of cooling. Heating Control-OFF (2.) - Turn the knob all the way to the LEFT (counterclockwise). Warm - Turn the knob to the RIGHT (clockwise), with the fan switch in the HIGH or LOW heat position, until the desired amount of heating is achieved.The knob can be set at any position to obtain the desired amount of heating. Fan Switch (3.) - Move the switch to the LEFT to LOW or HIGH fan speeds when cooling is required. Move it to the RIGHT to HIGH or LOW for heat or ventilation. Pressurizing - Pressurizing provides a clean atmosphere for the operator when heating or cooling is not required. Turn the heating and air conditioning controls to OFF. Turn the fan control knob to the RIGHT (clockwise) to either LOW or HIGH speed, as needed to keep out dust.Windows
The right side cab window can be used for ventilation. Unlatch the window and slide it to the rear. The left side cab window, in the door, can be used for ventilation. Unlatch the window and slide it to the rear.Windshield Wiper/Washer
Windshield Wiper - Turn the switch to the RIGHT to the first position for slow wiper speed. Turn the switch further to the RIGHT, to the second position for fast wiper speed. Turn the switch to the LEFT to stop the wipers.PUSH the knob to activate the windshield washer. Spring force will return the knob when released.Horn
Push the button DOWN to sound the horn.Use the horn to warn or signal other personnel.Backup Alarm
The backup alarm sounds when the transmission is shifted into REVERSE to warn nearby personnel of machine movement. Adjust the alarm sound lever to HIGH (1), LOW (2) or MEDIUM (3) to meet job requirements.The alarm is usually set at HIGH (1) sound level when the machine is shipped from the factory.Seat Adjustment
Adjust the seat at the beginning of each shift, or when changing operators.Adjust the seat to allow full brake pedal travel, with the operator seated against the seat back.The seat must be adjusted with the operator seated, and the engine running.
