Do not apply downward pressure on the fork tines. Do not pry with the fork tines. Do not side load the fork tines. Premature failure of the fork tines may occur and cause a crush hazard. Personal injury or death may occur.
Uncoupling the Work Tool
Place the fork in a safe position before engaging or disengaging the quick coupler. Ensure that the fork is not carrying a load.Serious injury or death may result from engaging or disengaging the fork when it is in an unstable position or carrying a load.
Pallet fork may swing away from the coupler as the wedges are released and the coupler is tilted or lowered. Could cause serious injury or death. Keep all personnel away from the pallet fork when uncoupling the pallet fork.
Position the fork on a level surface.
Move the quick coupler switch to the Unlock or Disengage position.If the coupler is controlled by the 3rd Auxiliary Hydraulic Control Lever, move the control back to the Unlock or Disengage position.Note: If the coupler wedges (1) are stuck, perform the following procedure in order to release the coupler wedges.
Raise the fork slightly above the ground. Shake the fork up and down with the tilt cylinders. Repeat steps 2 and 3.

After the coupler wedges are Unlocked or Disengaged, tilt the coupler forward until the bottom or the coupler is 305 mm (12 inch) from the fork. Refer to illustration 4.

Lower the coupler until the coupler is no longer in contact with the hooks on the fork. Ensure that the coupler is below the hooks on the fork. Refer to illustration 5.
Pallet fork may swing away from the coupler as the wedges are released and the coupler is tilted or lowered. Could cause serious injury or death. Keep all personnel away from the pallet fork when uncoupling the pallet fork.
Slowly drive the machine backward away from the fork.
Move the quick coupler switch to the Lock or Engage position.If the coupler is controlled by the 3rd Auxiliary Hydraulic Control Lever, move the control forward to the Lock or Engage position.Installation Procedure of Fork Tines
