Illustration 38. ON/OFF Switch (1) - If the heating and air conditioning system is off, pushing the switch will turn on the heating and air conditioning system. If the heating and air conditioning system is on, pushing the switch will turn off the heating and air conditioning system.
Fan Speed Switch (2) - This switch controls the volume of the flow of air in three steps: low (I), medium (II), and high (III). Each step is displayed by an LED.
Temperature Select (3) - These switches set the temperature of the air that is coming out of the louvers. The set temperature in the cab is displayed in the display screen above the switches.
Set Point Temperature Display (4) - This display shows the set temperature range from 18.0 to 32.0. The set temperature range changes by increments of 0.5.
A display of "18.0" indicates that the temperature in the cab is controlled at approximately 18°C (64°F).
Illustration 39. Switches (5) for Air Inlet - These switches select the position of the air inlet.
Closed - When this position is selected, the air inlet is closed. The air will recirculate inside the cab.
Open - When this position is selected, the air inlet is open. Fresh air will circulate into the cab.
If the heating and air conditioning system is in the AUTO mode at engine start-up and the temperature inside the cab is too warm or too cool, the door for fresh air ventilation may automatically close for a few minutes. This will help to bring the air temperature to the setpoint more quickly. Switches (6) for Air Outlets - This switch selects the position of each air outlet. Each switch controls a different air outlet.
Louver (A) - Selecting this switch will open the air outlet for louver (A).
Louver (A) and (B) - Selecting this switch will open the air outlet for louver (A) and the air outlet for louver (B).
Louver (B) - Selecting this switch will open the air outlet for louver (B).
