Removal Procedure 1
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Drain the oil from the oil coolers.

Remove the plug (5) from the oil cooler bonnet in order to drain the coolant from the oil coolers.
Disconnect the sending unit (1) from the oil outlet cover.
Disconnect the gauge tube (6) from the elbow (11).
Remove the oil cooler water inlet tube (4) and the elbow (2) with the bonnet.
Remove the oil cooler water outlet tube (7) and the elbow (3) with the bonnet.
Remove the tube (10) and the elbow (11).
Remove the tube (12), the elbow, the manifold, and the tube (8).
Remove the tube (9) and the manifold.
Fasten nylon straps and a suitable lifting device to the oil coolers. Remove the bolts that hold the oil coolers to the oil filters. Remove the oil coolers. The weight of the oil cooler assembly is approximately 137 kg (302 lb). Removal Procedure 2

Disconnect the sending unit (2) from the oil outlet cover.

Remove the three bolts (3) and clamps.

Remove the clamp (4).
Remove the clamp (6).
Remove the pipe (5).

Remove the four bolts (7) and washers.
Remove the four bolts (9) and washers.
Remove the three bolts (8) and washers.

Fasten nylon straps and a suitable lifting device to the oil coolers.
Remove the four bolts (10) and washers.
Remove the four bolts (10) and washers on the opposite side.
Remove the oil coolers (1). The weight of the oil cooler assembly is approximately 137 kg (302 lb).
