RETAINER-SEAL 2567797 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect wire (1). Remove two bolts (2) that hold the clamps for wire (1) in position.
VIEW FROM UNDER THE FLOOR2. Remove bolt (5) that holds clamp (6) to the firewall.3. Disconnect wire harness (3) at locations (4). 4. Remove ten screws (7) that hold the instrument panel in place. Pull the instrument panel (8) forward. 5. Disconnect wire connector (11). Remove bolt (10) that holds the clamp in place. Remove bolt (12) that holds the wires to the dash.6. Remove bolts (14) and plate (13). Pull wire harness (9) through the hole in the dash.7. Remove the instrument panel from the dash.8. Remove the monitor panel as follows: a) Remove nut (15) and disconnect the wires and clip.b) Disconnect wire harness (3). c) Remove three nuts (16). d) Remove two screws (17) and lens (18).e) Remove monitor panel (19) from the front of the instrument panel.9. Remove the stop engine alarm light as follows: a) Disconnect two wires (21) from the engine alarm light.b) Remove nut (20) and the washer. c) Remove stop engine alarm light (22) from the front of the instrument panel.d) Remove the lens cover, gasket and bulb if necessary.10. Remove the service meter as follows: a) Disconnect wires (25).b) Remove two wing nuts and bracket (24) that hold the service meter in place.c) Remove service meter (23) from the front of the instrument panel.11. Remove the toggle switches as follows: a) Disconnect wires (26) from the back of the toggle switch. b) Remove nut (27), washer and remove toggle switch (28) from the back of the instrument panel.12. Remove the 80 amp circuit breaker as follows: a) Disconnect wires (29) from the circuit breaker. b) Remove screws (30), nuts and remove circuit breaker (31) from the back of the instrument panel.13. Remove the heat-start switch as follows: a) Disconnect three wires (32). b) Remove screw (34) and knob (35) from the switch.c) Remove nut (33) and remove the heat-start switch from the back of the instrument panel.14. Remove the fuse holders as follows: a) Disconnect wires (36) from the fuse holder.b) Remove nut (37). The notch (slot) in the nut must be in alignment with the side terminal of the fuse holder.c) Remove fuse holder (38) through the front of the instrument panel.15. Remove the instrument panel light as follows: a) Disconnect wires (39) and (40) from the light. b) Remove nut (41) and remove light (42).Install Instrument Panel
1. Install the instrument panel light as follows: a) Put light (2) in position on the instrument panel.b) Install nut (1) on the light. c) Connect wires (3) to the correct terminals on the light.2. Install the fuse holders as follows: a) Install fuse holder (4) through the front of the instrument panel. Make sure the seal is in position on the fuse holder.b) Install nut (5) on the fuse holder. The groove (slot) in the nut must be in alignment with the side terminal of the fuse holder. c) Tighten nut (5) and connect
