start by:a) remove floor plate Put identification as to the location of all parts for correct installation. 1. Remove the bolts and cover (1).2. Remove the screws and let instrument panel (2) move forward. 3. Remove seven bolts (3) and dash (4).4. Make an identification of the location of foot pedal (7) for assembly purposes. 5. Loosen bolts (5) and (8).6. Remove lever (6) and pedal (7). 7. Remove four bolts (9) and move throttle housing (10) forward. 8. Remove cotter pin (12) and pin (11) from the linkage. Remove the throttle housing. 9. Remove four bolts (14). Remove detent mechanism (13).10. Remove key (15) from the shaft of the detent mechanism. 11. Remove plate (16), shaft assembly (17), spring (18), rollers (19), springs (20) and plate assembly (21) from the detent housing. 12. Use tooling (A) to remove bearing (22) from the detent housing. 13. Loosen bolt (24). Slide shaft (25) to the right.14. Remove the key from shaft (25). Remove shaft (25) and lever (23) from the housing. 15. Remove spring (28).16. Remove two bolts (27) and retainer (26) from the housing. 17. Remove snap ring (29) from the shaft with tooling (B). 18. Loosen bolt (30) and slide shaft (31) to the right. 19. Remove key (33) from the shaft.20. Remove the shaft and lever (32). 21. Remove bearings (36) and (35) from housing (34) with tooling (A). 22. Remove bearing (38) from the housing with tooling (A).23. Remove lip type seal (37) from the housing with tooling (A). 24. Remove spring (39) from the lever.25. Disconnect linkages (40) and (41). 26. Remove three bolts (42) and bracket (43). 27. Remove levers (44) and (45) from shaft (46). Remove the washers from the shaft.28. Remove shaft (46) from the bracket. 29. Remove bearings (47) from the bracket with tooling (A).Install Governor And Decelerator Group
For correct installation and adjustment of the governor and decelerator group, see TESTING AND ADJUSTING Form No. SENR7486. 1. Install bearings (1) in the bracket with tooling (A). Make sure the bearings are installed with the stamped end even with the outside of the bracket. 2. Put shaft (6) in position in the bracket.3. Install washers (2) on the shaft.4. Put keys (5) in position in the shaft.5. Put levers (3) and (4) in their original positions on the shaft and tighten the bolts that hold the levers in place. 6. Put bracket (7) in position and install the three bolts that hold the bracket in position. 7. Connect linkages (9) to the levers. Install spring (8). 8. Install bearings (10) in the housing with tooling (A). Make sure the bearings are installed with the stamped end even with the outside of the housing. Put a small amount of clean oil on the seal. 9. Install the lip type in the housing with tooling (A). Make sure the seal is installed as shown. 10. Put shaft (14), washer (13) and lever (11) in position as shown.11.
