Locate test point (2) on the hydraulic manifold.

Install Tooling (A) between test point (1) and test point (2) .

Loosen locknut (3) and open flow control valve (4) fully.
Place the ejector control in the HOLD position. Start the engine. Leave the ejector control in the HOLD position. The ejector blade will extend slowly. Allow the ejector blade to extend the full length of the body, before shutting off the engine. This process can take in excess of 45 minutes. Performing this step will purge air from the rod end of the lines.

Close flow control valve (4) fully before tightening locknut (3) .

The pilot pressure port is located behind the cab. Open the transmission guard by the ladder behind the left front wheel in order to access the pilot pressure port.
Locate test point (1) for the pilot pressure.

Locate test point (2) on the hydraulic manifold.
Install Tooling (A) between test point (1) and test point (2) .

Start the engine. Place the ejector control into the RETRACT position. Allow the ejector blade to retract fully.
Extend the ejector blade fully and retract the ejector blade fully.
Shut off the engine.

Typical example
Ensure that no one is under the tailgate. Remove the tailgate pins carefully. The tailgate might move suddenly. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Tailgate".
Start the engine. Fully extend and retract the ejector blade a few times. Ensure that the tailgate operates correctly. Shut off the engine.
Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
