Reel Out-No Inch(Later)
Cover (57), valve stop (53), orifice check valve cartridge (54) and orifice check valve plug (56) must be in position as shown in the following schematic for the no inch mode to function properly.
Control Console
A, B, C, D, E, F and G. Hand control lever positions.Moving the hand control lever from position C to position E moves selector spool (15) to the right to reel out channel. In this position, pressure oil flows through passage (7) to chamber (56) and then passage (14) to diverter spool (16). Cover (57) will not allow diverter spool (16) to move.

(53) Valve stop. (54) Orifice cartridge. (55) Valve assembly. (56) Plug. (57) Cover. (58) Passage.Further movement of the hand control lever from position E to position G moves directional clutch control piston (25) to the left. This movement does several things. First, it blocks the passage for signal oil to drain, causing the signal pressure to move brake load piston (4) to the left. Oil flows into passage (8) around selector spool and through passage (18) to diverter spool (16). It also flows through passage (33) and the orifice into the chamber for spool (39). Valve stop (53) must be in the inch position as shown, preventing sequence valve (39) from moving to the left. Oil from passage (58) flows into orifice check valve (55) and through orifice check valve cartridge (54), restricting the oil flow to input clutch (20). The orifice check valve permits reel out clutch (35) to release before the input clutch (20) is engaged.Oil in passage (8) also flows through passage (21) and the orifice to the relief valve load piston chamber, moving load piston (34) to the left, compressing the spring. The force of spring (46) moves relief valve spool (45) to the left, temporarily blocking the passage to lube. This causes the pressure in passage (31) to rise to 2070 kPa (300 psi).As the directional clutch control piston is compressed by the hand control lever movement, spring capsule (24) moves left, forcing clutch modulating valve to the left. This opens passage (17) around selector spool (15) and through passage (18) to the diverter spool (16) and to the reel out clutch, causing the winch drum to reel out.Reel Out-Inch(Earlier)
INCH position should not be used on direct drive tractors or the engine will stall. Before the winch will function tin the INCH MODE, the cover and valve stop must be reversed in the filter and bypass group.
