( 1 ) This cable serves as an adapter between an MS connector and a Deutsch connector.
( 2 ) This cable is for the DDT.
Remove the protective cap from the service tool connector on the engine mounted junction box. Connect the 7X-1415 Cable to the service tool connector. Tighten the connector until the connector is fully seated.
Connect the 7X-1685 Adapter Cable to the 7X-1415 Cable. Rotate the lock ring on the 7X-1685 Adapter Cable until the lock ring clicks. The other connector may be left unused.
Connect the black 9-Pin connector of the 7X-1685 Adapter Cable to the 7X-1400 Electronic Tool Group (DDT).The DDT should establish communication with the TCM when power is applied to the system.
