Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the cooling system into a suitable container. The capacity of the cooling system is 30 L (7.9 US gal). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

Disconnect hose assembly (4). Remove two bolts (2) and install Tooling (A). Remove remaining bolts (2). Remove housing (3) and engine oil cooler (1) .Installation Procedure

Position engine oil cooler (1) and housing (3) on Tooling (A). Install remaining bolts (2). Remove Tooling (A) and install two bolts (2). Connect hose (4) .
Fill the cooling system with coolant. The capacity of the cooling system is 30 L (7.9 US gal). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
