Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , " Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Remove the ROPS. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS) - Remove and Install".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be cleaned thoroughly. Cleaning will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1) and (3) . Disconnect cable assembly (2) .

Remove plate (4) . Remove hoses (5) . Disconnect hose assemblies (6) . Disconnect harness assemblies (7) .

Remove cover (8) . Remove nut (9) . Repeat for opposite side.

Position floor mat (10) in order to access the mounting bolts.

Remove cover (11) . Remove nut (12) . Repeat for opposite side.

Disconnect ground cable (13) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cab (14) . The weight of cab (14) is approximately 1315 kg (2900 lb). Remove cab (14) .
