Start By:a. remove elevator drive sprockets and speed reducer 1. Install a hoist and tool (A) on the elevator frame as shown. 2. Install a hoist on arm assembly (2). Remove bolts (1).3. Remove nuts (3), shaft assembly (4), and arm assembly (2). The weight of the arm assembly is 41 kg (90 lb). Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for removal of the arm assembly on the opposite side. 4. Install a hoist on arm assembly (7). Remove the bolts, bar (5), pin (6), and the shims. Lower the arm assembly and remove the hoist. Repeat Step 4 for the opposite side arm assembly. 5. Use a hoist and tool (A) to remove elevator frame (8). The weight of the elevator frame is 907 kg (2000 lb). 6. Fasten a hoist to arm assembly (7) and remove bolts (10), rings (9) and arm assemblies (7). The weight of the arm assemblies is 29 kg (65 lb). 7. Remove the bearings from the arms with tooling (B) and (C). The following steps are for installation of the elevator. 8. Install the bearings in the arms with tooling (D). The bearings must be installed to a depth of 4.8 1.5 mm (.189 .059) from either edge of the arms. 9. Use tooling (E) to install the bearings in the opposite ends of the arms. The bearings must be even (flush) with the edge of the arms.10. Install a hoist on arm assemblies (7). Put the arm assemblies in position and install ring (9) and bolts (10).11. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to elevator frame (8) and put it in position.12. Install the shims, pin (6), bar (5), and the bolts. Add or remove shims as necessary to get a clearance of 5 3 mm (.2 .1 in) between the arm assemblies and the scraper bowl.13. Fasten a hoist to arm assemblies (2) and put them in position.14.
