(1) Pressure tap
Install the gauge and hose on pressure tap (1) on the pressure control (restrictor) valve.
Install the machine floorplate.
Start the engine.
Lift the bulldozer approximately 380 mm ( 15 inch) off of the ground.
Tilt the bulldozer to the left as far as possible.
Run the engine at high idle rpm.
The high reading on the gauge is the pressure setting of the tilt relief valve.
Do not hold the control lever in either the TILT LEFT or the TILT RIGHT position at relief valve pressure for more than three seconds.
Tilt relief valve pressure setting is 19,300 + 350 - 175 kPa ( 2,800 + 50 - 25 psi).
Setting the relief valve:Note: Use the adjustment screw to adjust the tilt relief valve pressure setting.
Stop the engine.
Slowly move the bulldozer control lever toward the FLOAT position in order to allow the bulldozer to slowly lower to the ground.

Bulldozer control valve (2) Nut (cover for adjustment screw of tilt relief valve, as viewed from under machine)
Remove nut (2) from the bulldozer control valve.
Turn the adjustment screw "In" to increase the pressure setting of the tilt relief valve.
Turn the adjustment screw "Out" to decrease the pressure setting of the tilt relief valve.
Install nut (2) on the bulldozer control valve.
Remove the test gauge, hose and connector from pressure tap (1) .
Install the machine floorplate.Bulldozer Lift and Ripper Circuits Main Relief Valve
The main relief valve in the bulldozer control valve is in all of the implement hydraulic circuits except the bulldozer tilt circuit. The bulldozer tilt relief valve is isolated from all other circuits during tilt operation only. The tilt relief valve is intentionally set 689 kPa ( 100 psi) higher than the main relief valve in order to avoid interaction of the two relief valves. The bulldozer control lever may be moved to TILT LEFT or TILT RIGHT position in order to isolate the main relief valve from the tilt relief valve during the following procedures.Note: The tilt relief valve should be correctly set before attempting to set the main relief valve.
Start the engine.
Lift the bulldozer approximately 380 mm ( 15 inches) off the ground.
Stop the engine.
Slowly move the bulldozer control lever toward the FLOAT position in order to move the bulldozer slowly to the ground.
Move the control lever to the HOLD position.
If the machine has a ripper, proceed to Step 8.

(3) Blocking plate assembly
If the machine does not have a ripper:
Disconnect the rod end hydraulic line from each lift cylinder.
Install blocking plate assembly (3) from the 8T-5320 Hydraulic Testing Group in each hydraulic line.
Install a 0 to 28,000 kPa ( 0 to 4,000 psi) pressure gauge on a 6V-3081 Hose .
Remove the machine floorplate.

(2) Pressure tap (3) Elbow
Install the hose and gauge on pressure tap (2) on inlet manifold (3) .
Install the machine floorplate.
Start and run the engine at maximum speed.
If the machine has a ripper, raise the ripper to maximum height.
Observe the test gauge and slowly move the control lever to the RAISE position (bulldozer lever or ripper lever if the machine has
