Remove bolts (1), bolts (2), bolts (4), and cover (3).
Disconnect speed sensors (5).

Remove housing (6), bolts (7), speed-timing wheel (8), and spacer (9).

Remove the timing pins from the crankshaft and camshaft.
Use Tooling (A) to remove bolt (13) and washer (14). Note: Lock the manual barring group to prevent the engine from rotating when bolt (13) is loosened.
Remove bolts (11) and plate (12).
Place washer (14) between the camshaft and plate (12), and install bolt (13). Note: Ensure that bolt (13) is installed in order to hold camshaft drive gear (10) while being pulled off the taper of the camshaft.
Tighten bolts (11) evenly to pull the camshaft drive gear (10) off the taper of the camshaft.
Attach a suitable lifting device to camshaft drive gear (10). The weight if camshaft drive gear is approximately 41 kg (90 lb).
Remove bolts (11), bolt (13), plate (12), washer (14) and camshaft drive gear (10).
