Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove operators platform.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Drain the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove panel (1).

Disconnect hose assemblies (2).

Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and harness assembly (3).

Attach a suitable lifting device to hydraulic tank (5). The hydraulic tank (12) weighs approximately 119 kg (262 lb).

Remove mount bolts (6).

Remove mount bolts (7) and hydraulic tank (5).Installation Procedure
Install hydraulic tank (5) in the reverse order of removal.
