Level the Power Module
Once the power module is on the site, the landing gear should be lowered in order to support the trailer. The truck should be removed from the trailer. Install the jack stands underneath the front of the trailer. Before you operate the power module, level the power module. This will prevent a low coolant level alarm from sounding. This will also prevent the makeup oil supply (if equipped) from overfilling the engine crankcase.

(1) Adjustment for the landing gearUse a level in order to verify if the power module is level front to the rear. Position the level on the side of the power module. Adjust the landing gear upward or adjust the landing gear downward in order to make the adjustment. The power module should be level within a 1/4 of a bubble on the level from the front to the rear.

(1) Adjustment for a jack standUse a level in order to verify if the power module is level from one side to the other side. Position the level on the front of the power module. Turn the jack stands upward or turn the jack stands downward in order to make the adjustment. The power module should be within 1/4 of a bubble on the level from one side to the other side. The radiator filler cap must be on the high side of level if the power module can not be completely level.Multiple Units

Many electric power generation applications require several power modules to be operated. When you select a site, recommended spacing should be observed. There should be a minimum spacing of 6 m (20 ft) for less than five power modules that are placed beside each other. There should be a minimum spacing of 8 m (25 ft) for more than five power modules that are placed beside each other. This space between the power modules will allow fresh air to enter the air inlet openings. The power modules should be oriented so the radiator cooling airflow and engine exhaust will flow with the prevailing wind direction in order to prevent engine exhaust from recirculating into the power module.
Illustration 5 g00769042
The outlet of the cooling fan should be positioned in opposite directions if the power modules are placed behind each other. The radiator cooling airflow and engine exhaust from one power module should be directed away from the air inlet of another power module. To prevent recirculation of cooling air and exhaust, the minimum spacing between power modules is 15 m (50 ft).Power Module Ground
The Power Module must be properly grounded to prevent accidental injury or death from electrocution.
The switchgear in the power module controls the connection of the generator set to the electric system. The generator frame is grounded to the frame of the floor-standing switchgear. The switchgear must be connected to an earth ground at the site while the power module is operated. This consists of a ground strap from the ground
