Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Raise the hood by activating the switch. Turn off the disconnect switch after the hood has been raised.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove panel (1).

Disconnect harness assemblies (2). Disconnect clip (3) from the frame. Reposition harness assemblies (2) out of the way.

Remove nuts (6) and washers (5) from both harness assemblies (7). Push harness assemblies (7) through bracket (4).

Remove cable strap (8) and reposition harness assembly (7) out of the way.

Disconnect harness assembly (9). Remove clamp (11). Disconnect cable assembly (10) and reposition cable assembly (10) out of the way.

Loosen clamp (12) to remove cable assembly (13) from the post.

Disconnect ground straps (14) and harness assembly (15).

Remove three bolts (16) and remove electronic starting motor (17).

Remove gasket (18).Installation Procedure
Install electric starting motor (17) in the reverse order of removal.
