The 2000 psi (13 790 kPa) hydraulic system is used to raise the front of the conveyor a maximum of 7 inches (17.8 cm). The system consists of two double-acting hydraulic cylinders, an electric pump-motor-reservoir unit and a hydraulic directional control valve. When the hydraulic valve handle is positioned at "Raise" and the electric motor is turned on, hydraulic oil from the pump is sent to the head ends of the cylinders to raise the conveyor. When the hydraulic valve handle is at "Lower", the hydraulic oil flows to the rod ends of the cylinders to lower the conveyor. Hydraulic oil from the low pressure ends of the cylinders flows back through the hydraulic valve to the reservoir.
