1. Put a 50 ton screw jack (1) under the equalizer bar opposite the side of the pads to be removed. Lift the machine to put the equalizer bar pads under compression. 2. Remove the two bolts from outside of lower pad assembly (4) to be removed.3. Slide the pad assemblies out until the pad assemblies are against the frame. Remove four bolts and nuts (3) that hold upper pad assembly (2) to the lower pad assembly.4. Remove the pad assemblies.5. Do Steps 1 through 4 for the pad assemblies on the other side. The following steps are for the installation of the equalizer bar pads. 6. Put 50 ton screw jack (1) under the equalizer bar, and lift the machine to give maximum clearance to the opposite side.7. Put the upper pad assembly (2) and lower pad assembly (4) in position.8. Install bolts and nuts (3) that hold the pad assemblies together.9. Install the two bolts that hold the lower pad assembly to the equalizer bar.10. Do Steps 6 through 9 for the pad assemblies on the other side.End By:a. install bottom guards (middle front, middle rear)
