Remove the hydraulic oil cooler.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Open door (1).

Remove cover assembly (2).

Remove clamps on tube (3).

Personal injury or death may result from failure to adhere to the following procedures.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
Remove tube (5).
Remove tubes (4). Drain fuel cooler into suitable container.
Remove clamp assembly (8). Remove tube assemblies (6) and (7).

Remove bracket assembly (10). Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (9). The weight of aftercooler (9) is approximately 54 kg (120 lb). Lower aftercooler (9) to the bottom of radiator compartment.

Reposition the suitable lifting device and remove aftercooler (11). Installation Procedure
Install aftercooler (11) in the reverse order of removal.
