Raising hopper allows clearance for working on feeder drag conveyor. Secure hopper with chain whenever working on feeder drag conveyor.
1. Fold-up hopper (1) and apron (2).2. Remove side chain guard (3) and center chain guard (4). 3. Remove cotter pin (5) and bar (6).4. Turn feeder drag conveyor adjusting nuts (7) to relieve tension.5. Remove two rivets (8) and two pins (9). Move both parts of feeder drag conveyor out of the way.6. Attach a rope to each side of the rear end links of feeder drag conveyor.7. Move front part of feeder drag conveyor forward over front sprockets and lay front part of feeder drag conveyor on ground.8. Move rear part of feeder drag conveyor rearward over rear sprockets and lay rear part of feeder drag conveyor on ground.9. Disconnect ropes from feeder drag conveyor. Leave ropes in position under engine compartment.10. Remove feeder drag conveyor from machine. The following steps are for the installation of the feeder drag conveyor.11. Position feeder drag conveyor beneath machine.12. Move front part of feeder drag conveyor over front sprockets and lay on hard liner.13. Attach ropes to each side of the rear end links of the feeder drag conveyor. Pull rear part of the feeder drag conveyor over rear sprockets and forward until two ends of the feeder drag conveyor meet. Remove ropes.14. Align front and rear parts of feeder drag conveyor.15. Install two pins (9) and two rivets (8).16. Adjust feeder drag conveyor nuts (7) to correct tension. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual. 17. Install bar (6) and cotter pin (5). 18. Install center chain guard (4) and side chain guard (3). 19. Fold-down apron (2) and fold down hopper (1).End By:a. install auger group
