1. Remove seat and floor plates.2. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2). 3. Remove bolts (3) and the retainers that hold boots (4) in position. Move boots (4) up on the control rods.4. Remove cotter pins and pins to disconnect the control rods from the valve spools.
Hydraulic oil that is under pressure and hot can cause bodily injury. Move the control levers to relieve the pressure in the hydraulic system. Slowly loosen cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
5. Disconnect hoses (5) from the control valve. 6. Disconnect tube assemblies (6), (7), (8) and (9). 7. Remove bolts (10), (12) and (13) to remove pilot control valve (11) from the machine. The following steps are for the installation of the pilot control valve.8. Put pilot control valve (11) in position on the machine with bolts (10), (12) and (13).9. Connect tube assemblies (6), (7), (8) and (9) to the control valve.10. Connect hoses (5) to the control valve.11. Install pins and cotter pins that connect the control rods to the valve spools.12. Pull boots (4) back down on the control rods. Install retainers and bolts (3).13. Install cover (2) and bolts (1).14. Install floor plates and seat.Disassemble Pilot Control Valve
Start By: a. remove pilot control valve 1. Remove bolts (5) and make a separation of valve body (1), bulldozer tilt pilot control valve (4), ripper lift pilot control valve (2), ripper tilt pilot control valve (3) and manifold (6). The bulldozer tilt, ripper lift and ripper tilt pilot control valves are disassembled the same way. Follow Steps 2 through 7 to disassemble the pilot control valves. 2. Remove the three O-ring seals (8) and the three O-ring seals (9) from the valve body.3. Remove housing (7) from the valve stem and valve body. 4. Remove O-ring seal (10) and seal (11) from housing (7). 5. Remove housing (12) from the valve body. Remove the O-ring seal from housing (12). 6. Remove valve stem (13) from the valve body. 7. Remove retainer (16), spring (15) and retainer (14) from the end of valve stem (13). If necessary, remove plug (17) and the O-ring seal from the end of valve stem (13) on the ripper lift and ripper tilt pilot control valve stems only. 8. Remove plug (18) and the O-ring seal from valve body (1). 9. Remove spring (20) and valve stem (19) from valve body (1).Assemble Pilot Control Valve
1. Make sure all of the parts are clean and free of dirt and foreign material. Put clean hydraulic oil on all parts at assembly.2. Install valve stem (19), spring (20), O-ring seal (21) and plug (18) in valve body (1) as shown. The bulldozer tilt, ripper lift and ripper tilt pilot control valves are assembled the same way. Follow Steps 3 through 9 to assemble the pilot control valves. 3. Install the O-ring seal and plug (17) in the end of valve
