Remove the tires and wheels. See Disassembly and Assembly, "Tires & Wheels (Rear) - Remove and Install".
Remove the rear axle. See Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive and Steering Axle (Rear) - Remove".
Remove the final drive. See Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive (Drive and Steering Axle) - Remove".

Remove snap ring (3) and thrust washer (4) from the center of the planetary carrier.
