Information:
1. Start the machine. Completely extend the counterweight cylinder rod. Put tooling (A) under the counterweight frame. 2. Remove the counterweight cylinder guard (1). Weight of the guard is 62 lb. (28 kg). 3. Put identification on the counterweight cylinder hoses (2) and then remove them. 4. Remove cotter pin (5), lockbolt (4) and then remove cylinder rod pin (3). 5. Put blocks under the counterweight cylinder and fasten a hoist. 6. Remove bolts (8) and lockplate (9) from rear cylinder pin. Remove rear cylinder pin (7). Remove counterweight cylinder (6). Weight of the counterweight cylinder is 150 lb. (68 kg).Install Counterweight Cylinder
1. Fasten a hoist to the counterweight cylinder (1) and make an alignment with the pin bores in cylinder with the pin bores in the cylinder brackets (2). 2. Install the rear cylinder pin (3). Install lockplate and two bolts. 3. Install front cylinder pin (4). Install lockbolt and cotter pin. 4. Install the counterweight cylinder hoses (5). 5. Install counterweight cylinder guard (6).Disassemble Counterweight Cylinder
start by:a) remove counterweight cylinder 1. Put the counterweight cylinder on tool (A).2. Remove the flow control valve and tube (1) from the counterweight cylinder. 3. Remove four bolts that hold the tube and valve block together. Remove O-ring seal (2) from valve block (5). Remove spring (4) and valve (3) from valve block. 4. Remove four head bolts (6) from the counterweight cylinder head.5. Install support (8) under rod and fasten strap (7) to rod on support. Remove cylinder from the rod assembly. 6. Remove large nut from rod assembly with tooling (B). 7. Remove piston (9) from the cylinder rod. 8. Remove wear ring (10) and two seals (11) from piston (9). 9. Move the cylinder on to the rod and head (12). Install two head bolts. Move the cylinder and head off of the rod. Remove the two head bolts, then remove head from cylinder. 10. Remove two bolts (13) and gland (14). Remove shims from under gland. Remove seal (16) and packing set (15) from head. 11. Turn head over and remove seal and washer (17).Assemble Counterweight Cylinder
1. Install a new O-ring seal (1) and washer (2) on head. The O-ring seal is installed on the pressure side of the head. 2. Install seal (6) in gland (5). Install shims (4) on gland. Install packing set (3) in head. Install gland assembly on the head with two bolts (7). 3. Install head on cylinder with two head bolts. Install tool (C) on cylinder rod. Push rod on to head. Remove the two head bolts. 4. Install two seals (9) and wear ring (8) on piston. 5. Install piston (10) on cylinder rod. 6. Install nut on rod. Tighten nut with tooling (B) to a torque of 800 75 lb.ft. (1090 100 N m). 7. Push rod assembly on cylinder and install the four head bolts. 8. Install valve (13) and spring (11) in flow control valve block (14). Install a new O-ring seal (12) on
