Start By:a. remove hoodb. remove air conditioning condenserc. remove radiatord. remove fane. remove V-belts 1. Remove eight bolts (1).2. Remove damper (2) and pulley (3) (not shown). Damper and pulley are mounted with same bolts. 3. Remove four bolts (4).4. Remove crankshaft pulley (5). 5. Drill three small, evenly spaced, holes in seal (6). Use tool (A) to remove seal. The following steps are for the installation of the damper, pulley and front crankshaft seal. 6. With the shipping sleeve in place, use tool (B) and install the crankshaft front seal. For more information, refer to the Specifications module, Form No. SENR8228.
Do not remove the shipping sleeve until immediately before the installation of the crankshaft pulley.
7. Remove the shipping sleeve and immediately lubricate the crankshaft pulley seal surface. Position crankshaft pulley (5) to the crankshaft.8. Install pulley (3) and damper (2) with eight bolts (1). Position plate, install and torque four bolts (4). Install and adjust tension on V-belts.
