Remove Tooling (C) from underneath generator (25).

Position rotor (23) and remove Tooling (A).

Check the crankshaft end play. Use Tooling (D) and a suitable prybar in order to check crankshaft end play. Position Tooling (D) against the front engine support and the vibration damper. The crankshaft should be 0.11 to 0.57 mm (0.004 to 0.022 inch). If end play needs to be adjusted add or remove shims. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Coupling - Remove and Install".

Position screen (21) on the rear of the engine and tighten bolts (22).

Install tube (20).

Connect harness assembly (16). Connect hoses (15) and (17). Install tube (18).

Install tube (12). Tighten the clamps on each end of tube (12). Connect hose assembly (10). Connect harness assemblies (9) and (11). Tighten the nut that holds wire assembly (11) to a torque of 6.0 0.6 N m (55 5 lb in). Install bolt (8). Tighten bolt (8) to a torque of 2.0 0.3 N m (20 2 lb in).

Connect harness assemblies (7) and (6). Install nuts (5) and (4). Tighten nut (5) to a torque of 31 4 N m (23 3 lb ft). Tighten nut (4) to a torque of 2.0 0.3 N m (20 2 lb in).

Connect hose assembly (3). Connect harness assembly (1). Install screw (2). Tighten screw (2) to a torque of 6 N m (54 lb in).
Refill the coolant system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Connect".End By:
Install the radiator fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install".
Install the fan guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Guard - Remove and Install".
