This article tells how to repair damage caused when the idler adjusting cylinder is extended too far.Description of Change: A new elevator frame assembly is now available. It has an improved casting for the adjustment cylinder housing. Failures of the elevator frame have occurred when the elevator chain is at the full adjustment position. On the former elevator frame, the idler yoke retaining dowels can come in contact with the adjustment cylinder housing. This can cause cracks in the housing. The new elevator frame provides additional clearance for the idler yoke retaining dowels.Adaptable As: The new 4T9198 and 4T9119 Elevator Frame Assemblies are direct replacements for the 9J2707 and 3G7890 Elevator Frame Assemblies. The former elevator frame assemblies have been canceled.
