Removal Procedure
Start By:
Release the system pressure.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove bolts (1) and panel assemblies (2).
Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Disconnect and reposition harness assembly (3), hose assembly (4), and hose assembly (6).
Remove bolts (7) and disconnect tube assembly (5).

Disconnect and reposition hose assembly (8).

Remove stud bolt (9) and bolt (10).
Remove two bolts (13).
Remove four bolts (11) and engine oil cooler (12).Installation Procedure
Install the engine oil cooler in the reverse order of removal.
